ToggleHow to clean Roman blinds #1: Removing Marks From Your Roman Blind
If there’s a small mark on the fabric, you can wipe it clean using a damp cloth. To ensure that the material isn’t damaged, always use a mix of warm, soapy water. You can include a gentle detergent if you prefer. Remember to wring out the cloth between strokes to make sure that it won’t leave watermarks, finishing up by hanging them at the window to dry.
How to clean Roman blinds #2: Dusting Your Roman Blind
If there’s a build-up of fluff and dust affecting the fabric, you can use an upholstery attachment on your vacuum to gently dust it down. Just make sure you don’t press too hard on the fabric to avoid damaging it.
How to clean Roman Blind #3: Dry Cleaning
We always recommend that our Roman blinds are dry cleaned, because this will guarantee their safe return, regardless of what material they are made of. The fabric itself is connected to the headrail using a velcro strip so it can be easily removed for cleaning. You’ll need to untie the strings at the back of the blind, then feed them out of the loops, leaving them to hang freely while the blind is cleaned. When it’s time to reattach the fabric, you will need to simply thread the strings back through again.
